Another civic hatchback...and a 1969 camaro (pics)

i have been viewing your website for about 5 months, and i just now decided to register so i could reply. Just some background information if anyone cares

I just graduated from high school and will be going to Penn tech this fall for automotive technology and business management.

I have 2 cars, the complete opposites. A 1995 civic hatchback (cx body with dx 1.5l motor, previous owner did it) 5sp which i can get between 40-45mpg. I did some basic fuel economy things like removing the passenger mirror, grill block off, warm air intake, trimmed the mud flaps, 45-50psi in tires. the previous owner also lowered the car and put a full exhaust system on it.
Not the best pic, but heres the civic

I also have a 1969 camaro that i did a frame off restoration, and i get about 10mpg if i don't romp on it too much. Its only a toy, but it shows my work.

Damnit man, thats a great job on that F-body. Congrats on school, planning on owning your own shop? From the looks of that camaro you'll be successful.

Welcome!

That camaro looks superb, but you already know that.
Are those original crager ss mag wheels or modern reproductions? I remember those wheels when I used to work changing tires, the clamp rod in the center of the tire machine always wanted to break out the center hole in the wheel. And half the people coming in with those wheels were using the wrong lug nuts so only 2 threads would engage.. Happy times.

I have had both of the same cars as you. ( '69 350 4v and a '93 Civic hatch )
I still have the Civic hatch.

You did one hell of a job on the Camaro.
Just the fact that you painted the car black tells me that you did a super job on your bodywork.

I'd also like to lower my Civic ...someday.
I want to go as low as possible, but don't want my alignment messed up on the car.
What would you recommend as a good brand ?

Welcome to the site ! It looks like you know what you are doing when it comes to aerodynamics too from the mileage figures you have !

Can you post some more pics of your cars when convenient ?
