in neutral, EOC or whatever?

If anyone claims yes, let's see 'em do it in the other direction.

Yes I do it all the time. Until speed gets low enough to bump her off and do another pulse...

Fat Charlie 09-15-2011 10:06 AM

Not for a while. I just haven't been in the right place at the right time, but drafting can really stretch your glides out.

Never drafted, don't intend to start.

when you guys P&G'd how long did you manage do ride in the draft for?

UFO, some guys in an f-350 went considerably faster @ B-ville on B20 than they did on Spec #2 diesel, truckers also love B20 cause it kills their vibrations. here in CA you are lucky to find B5

Yes, B20 is an optimal mix for power, you get enhanced cetane with minimal energy density loss from too much B100.

"far" and "draft" are like "apples" and "oranges." There are just too many variables with the road, traffic, weather and how much of a hurry I'm in. But when I'm drafting I lose speed in the glides much more slowly than when I'm not.

DRAFTING?! OMG! Yer gonna DIE!

Sorry, just thought I'd say it before anyone else did.

To answer the OP, No, I haven't. It would take a really light/small car behind a really big truck for that to happen for any appreciable length of time, I would think. But like Fat Charlie said, it definitely stretches out the glide.

When I'm trailing a truck (semi) or closing in on one, while approaching a point where I usually start coasting, I start a bit further out but can still coast as far.
