Hello from Texas!

Well, I've been lurking here for a while now, and now that I'm actually able to start making progress on my build I decided to come out of hiding. I've learned a few facts and truths from reading through the various threads on this site and I can't wait to put some of this knowledge to good use.

I've been working on Hondas for a long time, but usually to make them faster. After owning 12 other cars, this will be my very first eco build. I'm going to apply some of the things I've learned on my other cars to this build. My goals are a modest 50mpg while still retaining that sporty feel that I've grown to love.

99,
Welcome to EM!!

air up the tires.....it's free and easy and works!

Thank you for the welcome. I plan on running a set of LRR tires when it comes time to buy those, and airing them up close to the maximum sidewall pressure.

I bought the car with a blown motor, so it isn't running at the moment. I'm currently working on putting the car on a diet and shedding a bunch of unnecessary weight. I'll create a build thread for it in the next few hours.

welcome texas! I used to do the same for my first 6 or more hondas. Since o2 I was planning and found a 92 VX vtec e. then i learned from Ben crx best shape for that motor. trouble finding a decent HF(lightest). not tampered with too much from racers. Selling my VX now but I will keep the dream alive and find another one in a few months. economy will prompt somebody to sell one in a decent body condition and I'll snap it up. Rywire is who i'll buy a completely new engine-wire-harness from. so it will be clean as well as functional. Hope to read some more posts from you soon bro

Funny thing is when I bought this car I had no intention of doing an eco build. I was originally just going to be happy getting 35-40 with it after all the high horsepower cars I've had. I still have my 99, and don't EVER plan on getting rid of it, but this will be a nice side project to keep my fuel costs down.

Keep an eye out for my build thread. It will be up soon.

Build thread is up. Enjoy!
