Help on pricing for a used Honda vx 1992
Looking to buy a 1992 honda vx
supposedly rebuilt engine and tranny.. all original and of course lean burn 50k ago 4/24/2004 showed 29,908 carfax reports back in 4/24/2002 odometer was rolled back. 10/15/2001 it had 126,126 odometer currently shows 206,421 doesn't pass emissions.. probably needs a cat and 02 sensor and or EGR valve Need opinions on what to pay for this! of course i will check it out and or have it checked out for issues. this weekend assuming its good to go need 2 prices.. factoring the possible rebuild price and the non rebuild price with needing a cat |
I would say about 1500-1750 max depending on what else is wrong.
Is the body/interior in good shape? Does it need tires? How about a full major service? There are a lot of things to consider. |

i figured id do $1500 or so too.. Just want to make sure. the last crx dx i bought i paid a bit too much for it. but it was rebuilt engine and tranny and super clean for the year i will have it look at first before i decide final price.. and services for the car such as major stuff tranny fluid |
Look up how much a brand new cat is. Always assume the problem is the most expensive part.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-15026/ Please this assumes your VX is Federal not California Emissions. I could not find a Cal Cat C.A.R.B. E.O. convertor |
