Help on pricing for a used Honda vx 1992

Looking to buy a 1992 honda vx

supposedly rebuilt engine and tranny.. all original and of course lean burn
50k ago

4/24/2004 showed 29,908
carfax reports back in 4/24/2002 odometer was rolled back.
10/15/2001 it had 126,126

odometer currently shows 206,421

doesn't pass emissions.. probably needs a cat and 02 sensor and or EGR valve

Need opinions on what to pay for this!

of course i will check it out and or have it checked out for issues. this weekend

assuming its good to go need 2 prices.. factoring the possible rebuild price

and the non rebuild price with needing a cat

I would say about 1500-1750 max depending on what else is wrong.

Is the body/interior in good shape? Does it need tires? How about a full major service? There are a lot of things to consider.

has new tires.. interior is great for the year.. aftermarket pioneer and sub and xploid amp built into the back seat

i figured id do $1500 or so too.. Just want to make sure.

the last crx dx i bought i paid a bit too much for it. but it was rebuilt engine and tranny and super clean for the year

i will have it look at first before i decide final price.. and services for the car such as major stuff tranny fluid

Look up how much a brand new cat is. Always assume the problem is the most expensive part.

Why does that new price seem rather high? That Era of exhaust came from Walker Manufacturing and Summit racing list them as part #15026 for $62.97

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-15026/

Please this assumes your VX is Federal not California Emissions. I could not find a Cal Cat C.A.R.B. E.O. convertor
