How's everyone doing. I have poked around this site for many years, and it has always been an interest of mine. So with my last car purchase for my daily driver I've decided to head in a direction that gives me more bang for the buck.

So the car I have a 2002 Honda Civic Si, and it was pretty stock when I got it only thing it had was an exhaust. Ok great would have put one on myself so that's one less thing for me. I have added a short ram intake that pulls air almost off the block. Rims I opted for something that dropped me 10lbs per wheel which has been a really big impact. I have one thing that I did a few days ago, but I'm waiting on the results from the next tank to see what it did.

Yes the thing I did was a surprise, because if it works like I think it is going to will piss a lot of you off. Let's just say it is very controversial, and I'll leave it at that. I will say I already see a difference in some aspects.

Other than that I haven't done much else just some small things for looks. Since starting I have already beaten the EPA gas of 24/28 I get 29 mpg city driving. Highway not so sure of because I have no huge trips where I drive just highway only with little city.

I will keep you all updated after I run a few tanks with my secret modification in the near future so keep an eye out for it.

We had someone else do this "secret modification" thing not too long ago, it didn't end well.

Not to put too fine a point on it, this is an open forum where everyone shares ideas. If you have something to sell, it had better be awesome. I mean legen-frikkin-dary. And if you have a secret, keep it without telling us about it.

Do us a favor and keep the secret mods to your self.

Everything I ever did or even considered doing to my cars is on here: all the stuff that worked well, all the stuff that didn't work, all the stuff I am too lazy to finish or too busy to start . . . it's all shared info

Half the mods to my cars were accomplished courtesy of somebody here before me documenting them. Anything I did first has a how-to with step-by-step instructions

We don't just like hearing about successes, failures are just as important!

Oh I will be sharing the success or failure I just want to see what it does before I share. I have proof from someone else having a performance gain from it, I just want to see what it does to the tank.

This guy did this just about this time last year, and I don't think he came up with the idea on his own. Evidently it's valid because he was chasing his Civic past 50mpg and I don't think it was the VX model, either.

Well so far I'm just a smidge under half, barely under half. I'm at 240 miles already, which is very good because I usually fill up at 330 miles. So I have 1/2 tank to go 90 miles. Seems like I'm going to go way past that number.
