Hi from Houston,Texas

Hello. I've trolled the site for a while and have finally decided to do something to increase my mpg, especially since I drive ~100 miles a day to work.

Welcome to the site.

What vehicle do you have?

sirchris 08-30-2015 01:22 PM

Yeah, I guess it would help to mention it. I've got a '13 Dodge Avenger. I tracked mileage when I first got it and averaged ~28-30mpg. I've been real concious about it this work set and am averaging 32.5 without any modifications other than the way I am driving.

Nice driving!!!

It still amazes me how much driving technique can help FE?

Yeah, now to dig through the site to see what else I can do.

With that kind of commute around Houston you have my sympathy. Might as well draft when you can do so safely. Brother woke me up going south on I15 going into town so I could see the big rig jacknife in front of us. Same spot had a Vette slide past us when he lost it going 90+.

regards

Thanks everyone. To be honest, with what I've seen on the roads around here, I'm a little hesitant on the drafting part. But I'm finding plenty of other ideas.

A little further north than Baytown, I drive to Pasadena.
