Hi guys.

I had to register twice?

Anyway I am here now. Want to say I am happy this site exists.

I want to do some under car aero without getting replies such as
"your wasting your money" or "your nuts if you think you will get extra performance"


And I think I am in the right place to NOT get those type of replies from idiots. :)

you would be correct on being in the right place most people would tell you as one of your first mods one should would probably be underbelly pans, grill blocks, air dams.... Most people if they don't agree with what your idea is they would either tell you their results or tell you to test it

This has been my experience as well, everybody here is very supportive. As long as you test, you're golden.

Something I've learned from reading up on them myself is that many people see a bigger aerodynamic benefit from the rear portion of the car than the front, especially because the rear bumper tends to be a parachute shape. That's not to say don't do the whole underbody, just that if you only have time/money/supplies for part, aim for the back.

I will make sure , the rear has a well designed diffuser.

I am making templates on "paint" and I will then start my own thread on the D.I.Y section.

I continually comment on the level of intelegence that arisess from the threads here. Lots to learn!

My first suggestion is to get the low hanging fruit......
1. pump up the tires
2. get some type of instrumentation to constantly measure your mpg.
There is a reason 'gaming' is so successfull. we (males) love constant feedback and beating the screen!!

Straight away I notice alot of people using plastic.

Why not Alumunium which has such a high melting point compared to plastic.

Don't you think that we would post that the 'plastic' melted???
There are numerous posts on using material other than coroplast.
Heat is not a problem. Show me a post where it REALLY is a proven problem. Not a guess.

Okay thanks. Your project is cool. I want to use that idea of the mesh covers. :)
