How to build a partial Grill Block for a Caravan/Town & Country

I built a partial Grill Block awhile back for the Giant Strawberry which is a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. I used Coroplast, zip ties, and red spray paint.

First things first open the hood and have the right tools to remove the necessary items. A Chiltons manual can be helpful. I started by removing the radiator plastic cover.

Remove the Grill Fins which makes sizing the Coroplast so much easier.

Next size up the Coroplast with the Grill Fins and paint.

Now install the grill fins back on and use zipties to hold the coroplast to the fins.

I used a lot of zip ties, but this many is really not necessary.

Reinstall plastic radiator cover

Now you have a grill block that is not very noticeable and still enough air to cool from underneath.

Clean installation. Nice work.

Tell me about the openings on either side of the lower grille. Are they just holes for optional fog lights, or do they let air in as well?

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure it's open for fog lights.

Interesting idea. Is it too soon for results? I have a 2003 Town & Country. How much highway driving to you do? Thinking this would be good for the winter but not the summer in upstate NY?
