How do you retire a vehicle?
Pretty much explains itself.

Go to your garage. Select the vehicle and then edit. There is a box to select when setting up the vehicle (status)that has active or retired on the drop down menu.
|
Donate it to a charity/nonprofit and take the tax deduction.

Drive it to the junkyard at 10 mph with grinding brakes, parts falling off and motor barely running.
|
Or sell it for what you paid for it after driving it 35k miles, in perfect condition, to a mother of 4 whose husband passed away 4 years ago, when her youngest was 8 years old.
Thanks for the help ;). regards Mech |
follow an old dodder round a corner @15-20mph, try manfully to catch the slide that 'something' breaking caused, end up in a feild seing ground, sky, ground, sky....

In my area, there are three basic ways.
Option 1: Pull it around to the side or back yard. {Putting it up on cinder blocks is an option.} Walk away and ignore it, it just means less grass to mow. :D Option 2: drag it behind your pickup to the scrap yard. They'll weigh it and give you a per pound amount. {Handy tip, don't empty the trunk first.} Option 3: Put a free ad in The Swapper to sell it on the cheap. {Don't try to Google search for The Swapper unless you want to get to sites dedicated to sharing your spouse with a stranger :o} |
...we "give it away" to a family-member who needs a car...usually a proverbial 'starving student."
