How hot is too hot? Intake air temp - 2015 mirage

I have a 2015 mirage with a warm air intake and get nervous when it creeps up over 150 degrees F.

Noticed some other people here with similar cars have their grills sealed up and a bunch of other stuff done that must make it creep higher...

so my question is.. how hot is too hot?:snail:

Don't know; but intercoolers are a thing for a reason (charge density).

I ran a 90f thermostatic intake at one point.

The only negative from hot air is that at some point your ECU is going to start retarding your ignition timing which will reduce efficiency. However, monitoring if the ECU is pulling timing is very difficult as it changes it so quickly. Your best bet is to do some testing. Test it at 150F, then adjust it so its lower and try again. Make a few runs and let us know how it goes. I know I've run my WAI up to about 135F. Not sure I ever got to 150F on my Mirage though.
