How to set up your mileage signature
5 Attachment(s)
This is how to properly setup your signature to have the ecomodder image with your current mileage in it.
First, open a new tab or window by right clicking on 'User CP' on the top of the screen. http://forum.ecomodder.com/attachmen...1&d=1209733866 Click on "Edit Signature" on the left side of the screen. http://forum.ecomodder.com/attachmen...1&d=1209734438 Now, go back to the original tab or window you had open. Click on "EM Garage" and on the next screen click on the "Fuel Log" link of the vehicle whose mileage image you want in your signature. http://forum.ecomodder.com/attachmen...1&d=1209734921 http://forum.ecomodder.com/attachmen...1&d=1209734926 On the top of the screen, copy the URL of the page. http://forum.ecomodder.com/attachmen...1&d=1209735372 Go back to your second tab/window and in the signature box type (with no spaces) "[ url=" and then paste the URL behind the equals sign. Then, put a "]" after that. So you'll have something similar to this: http://www.tercelreference.com/downloads/6.jpg Now, go back to the first tab/window and scroll to the bottom of the page. Right click the signature image you see there and click "Properties". http://www.tercelreference.com/downloads/7.jpg In the properties window highlight and copy the URL again. http://www.tercelreference.com/downloads/8.jpg Again, go back to the second tab/window. Immediately after what you had put in before, type (with no spaces) "[ img]" and paste the URL you had copied. Then type "[/img]". Click the "Preview Signature" button to make sure it works. You should have something like this now: http://www.tercelreference.com/downloads/9.jpg Now, just click "Save Signature" and your all done! |
Thanks for this post Daox!
Kind of ironic coming from a person that has the cmpg signatures, lol. |
Haha. Thanks, Daox!
I did get your PM about hosting the images, and will grab them. Good idea. |
This is good information; I have been trying to do that and have had 'static' success with cut-and-paste. But where does the info in the right-hand area of the image (70.2% above EPA / HYPERMILER) come from? My sig image doesn't have any of that, even though I have entered the EPA mileage estimates. I used the average of city/hwy for the combined estimate.
Thanks in advance from the Beaver! |
test
Uh, how come it's not showing % above epa on mine? |
You need to enter the EPA rating for city, highway, and combined into the car's info.
|
Great job on the tutorial. I was wondering how you make that work.

Thanks...
Thank you Daox,
I was wondering how add this in for a signature so that it would update itself rather than just posting a static image of it into my signature. Have a great day, Jeff |
Hmmm, when I go to EM Garage where it lists everyones car and find my car in the list it shows epa rating and my %. wtf?
