A Success..and a fail

Well i managed to go an entire month on one tank of gas. I still had 3 gallons left. I'm probably going to go back to filling up at half a tank, but now i know i can do it!

and now the fail, I made it a month, but my fuel economy was the worst that I have ever gotten. A 16.64 MPG average (compared to my usual 20-21).

I got on it a few times, but no more than usual, and certainly not enough to kill about 5 MPGs. I think me warming up the truck in the cold conditions had something to do with it, along with shifting earlier than usual. Would the latter be enough of a reason to hurt my fuel economy? The only reason i can think is that it would take me longer to get to cruising speed.

I plan on installing an engine block heater, but unfortunately that will have to wait for better conditions, still too cold out to do any extensive work.
