Introducing ScabbyBoost

2 Attachment(s)
Hello from Edmonton, AB, Canada.

Introducing my first new vehicle, my 2013 F150 SuperCab FX4 EcoBoost.

The snapshot of my truck's economy at the change over from factory 87 to 87Eco map.
I have run only 87 since new. There was one tank(~130l) where i got to the pump and all they had was 94, so i naturally topped up, even my two 20l jerry cans.

So let us see the difference once the ECU has adapted to the new map and finished its learning curve.
Over the last day driving to work and back(~70km) it has shown a 1.0l/100km improvement(13.7l/100km to 12.7l/100km).
My trip is made up of 33% Urban; 42% Sub-Urban; 25% Extra-Urban

I will post pictures as soon as my post count has reached the minimum 5 posts:(

My story is the same as the guy with the STi. Even if it seems silly to eco mod a fuel hungry performance vehicle your first new vehicle should be what you want.
I went all out for my limited budget: Extended Cab; Turbo Engine; 4x4; Off-Road Trim; Max-Tow Package.
I was able to tick all the boxes except for a manual transmission.

My vehicle history is all over the place but I have had fun.
My favorites have been:
'92 Skyline GTS-4 Auto
'92 Cherokee 4.0l Manual
'93 MX-5 Auto
'95 Jetta GL 1.9TD Manual
'00 Jetta GLS 1.9TDI Manual
'01 Impreza WRX Manual (US)

And of course my current F150.

I prefer manual vehicles for the control and enhanced driving experience and obvious fuel savings.
Same for turbocharged charged engines for their versatility.

It's your vehicle- do what you want!

Look forward to seeing progress...I just hope you put some of it in MPG :D

I'm wondering what kind of mileage the lime green truck in the picture gets :-)

My Ave Consumption was 16.5mpg

Work trip pre-tune 17.2mpg; Post-tune 18.5mpg;)

I can not do real long term comparisons as temperatures will tank the consumption figures as temperatures are already below -10C up here.

It is a Diesel/Electric in its defence;)
