iOS Numbers App fuel tracker spreadsheet

1 Attachment(s)
I have built a really nice spreadsheet that tracks EVERYTHING on my car. I love making spreadsheets and keeping data on everything. I built it from a very basic template in Numbers but it really tells me a lot of information. If you have Numbers for iOS I'd be happy to share it with you. Numbers is a $10 app in the app store. It isn't compatible with excel because of the way Numbers formats native spreadsheets. I believe it would work in Numbers for Mac but I haven't tested it. It works with iPhone and iPad and is how I keep track of my fuel costs at the pump. There is a data entry form which makes it extremely easy to enter the fill info and it also will sync with your iPad through iCloud. Not trying to advertise but it's a nice setup.

From the fuel data that you add in, which isn't pictured, it calculates all of the data you see here automatically. The information for the last 31 days is for the last month and adjusts the formula and title for the length of the previous month. It's set up to calculate about all of the information that I have wanted to know about my car. It updates daily, automatically. The maintenance form also tracks all costs and the two spreadsheets are linked so you can account for both maintenance and fuel costs and both for total cost. What isn't in it are insurance, registration, or purchase costs. This could be added if someone said how they would like to see it. Also, the fuel savings cell for both the last 31 days and total are based on my previous cars recorded mpg but I could configure it for your old car's consumption and even add for premium fuel vs. unleaded.

What's distance to moon used for? Are you taking different routes depending on the current strenght of gravity? ;)

Ha well seeing that the moon is roughly 239,000 miles from earth, I added that to see how far along I was if the car had just driven straight there. I guess that would be a good ecomodding goal. Seeing that the Saturn V only was running for 16 minutes and 50 seconds and the rest of the 3 day trip was EOC. And all it knows is P&G with only 4 big pulses to make it the whole way there.

Very nice and organized sheet. Looks quite professional. I went the simple route and use my google drive and downloaded "Google sheets" on my iPhone to keep track of costs. Mine is much more simple with everything just added in the next line down with a section for "notes" such gas, parts, registration etc.. I wasn't really looking for a cost breakdown, though, just tracking costs. So far I'm at $0.59/mile.

I love data!!!:D

Just logging the data is the big step. Once you have it you can always move on to another way of tracking.

It's funny that this thread came back up. I've put 60,000 miles on my car since I first posted this spreadsheet. Still use it at every tank. Approaching 200 fill ups.

I too would love to get a copy of the spreadsheet. Found this thread looking for one. Also rather surprised that it's still active all this time later.
Thanks in advance.

I get notifications from the site so I see if someone posts in a thread I started but I'm not active anymore. Tried to send it and it was rejected by gmail. Checked and it is exactly as you said. Have another email? You can PM me if you want
