Just got a 2016 Ecoboost 'stang!
Got 31.3mpg hand calculated on a 400 mile trip to San Francisco and back! Lie-o-meter said 32.6mpg. Brief stints of 58mph in a 55 zone, but most of the time it was 72mph on cruise control. I think 40mpg+ will be no problem with some tinkering at 55...... :D
Oh, and did I mention 310hp and 13 second timeslips stock?? Anyways, https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...67&oe=57DAE680 |
So basically double the horsepower of my old V6 and better MPG

Congrats. Hope you'll keep us posted with more results.

Awesome! Standard, or auto?
(I'm not a fan of the 2.3, if I'm honest- but I accept it is the future) |

I was just re watching the teardown of an F150 ecoboost after a 150k mile torture test. Impressive stuff!

Cool! I have been kicking around getting a 2011+ v6 manual. My holdup is the Rwd in Montana. I don't care what people try and tell you they are a PITA. Sure you can do it, I do it everyday now as a Mailman, and have done it in the past plenty times in my life, but my current Forester is such a Rockstar at winter. The Forester doesn't do as good the rest of the year economy wise, city or highway. I have always had a fun muscle car but sold my last one, a Barracuda, a few years ago. These new muscle cars are so good looking and all around great performers I just figured I would pick a modern Challenger, Mustang, or Camaro next. Have been leaning Mustang bang for the buck, maybe just keep the Forester for the winter.
