Welcome to the site Jalmir. What kind of mileage are you getting with the Elantra?

Thanks ... My mpg isn't that good, for now I average at 9l/100km (around 26 mpg), I have tried to save here and there but my commute is a bit hard.

The "cheapest" route is the highway, a 15-25 min. commute but it turned into a 35-45 min one because of road works. As for going with public transit, it's a 1.5 to 2 hours commute and with a new born at home that's not an option.

My weekend mileage is way better, I get around 7l/100km (33.6 mpg).

All those numbers are before I started looking into hypermiling, so I hope so be able to get better mpg soon!

I'm trying to coast more and I'm trying a few other tricks I read here, but one that I have to "plan" is engine-off coasting, I tried this week and realized the steering is VERY hard without assist and that the brake assist tends to disapear quite fast, but I know of a few stretch of highway in my commute when I can safely use engine-off coasting.

I'll try setting up my mileage profile in the comming weekend and hope to get good numbers in the comming weeks!
