LED interior lights
 

I recently picked up some LED interior bulbs for my Civic. These things are a nice upgrade. Depending on what type of bulbs your car uses you can get significantly whiter, brighter light with LEDs. This car has two map lights and a dome light, I took some pics of the map lights with the stock incandescent bulb on the driver's side and the LED on the passenger side. These bulbs consist of four LEDs on a small circuit board. Color is cool white.

I also upgraded the trunk bulb. Stock bulb is a little 194. The site I ordered from has oversized replacements with a standard base, so I picked the biggest one that would fit in the bulb housing.

Both those pics were taken with the camera at the same exposure.

LEDs also use less power of course, and should last a lot longer. The map and dome bulbs for my car were $7 each, and the bulb in the trunk was $12.

Impressive results! may i ask where you bought them? ive had LED bulbs in the past, but they were worse than the original bulbs haha.

Ditto on the where'd you get them! Very nice results. Please share the name brand on the bulb packaging while you're at it.

Most likely from LED Lights & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS which is where I got mine from. Some websites sell adapters that plug into the sockets and just have a pair of wires coming out that allow you to make your own custom setup. I have red leds for when I go on roadtrips so that my passenger can read a map and not screw up my night-vision.

LEDs - underbody kits, cathodes, flexible LED strips, dome lights and eCRATER - online marketplace, get a free online store also have large selections of LED lights for cars, though I'm not sure of the quality

Yes it's superbrightleds.com. As for the brightness, standard LEDs are generally not as bright as incandescents, but the bulbs I purchased use high power LEDs, grouped together on a mini circuit board, which allows them to actually have greater light output than the incandescents they replace.

dealextreme.com, ledlight.com and sourcingmap.com are a few others that have car LED bulb assemblies, again, not sure about quality.

LEd's never burn out they just get dimmer over time. So you should have a great light well beyond the years you own the vehicle. Great investment!

Well some times they just burn out but most will run for years.

I am a fan. Always get SMD type led's when you upgrade your bulbs and you won't be disapointed. They are much brighter than standard. They are flat and yellow faced (like the ones formula used). They look a little funny and cost more but they sure are bright!
