Breaking down styrofoam with bugs.

I watched a video like this a few years ago and thought that I shared it, but I cannot find anything about it.

He mentioned that superworms themselves don't break down styrofoam, but the bacteria in their stomachs: That video is shorter than I remember. I remember someone with multiple 5-gallon buckets from Home Depot and trying different methods to make superworms eat styrofoam better. I recently saw this and it looks promising: That was it! That was my 115th and last video! It is crazy how more organized my tabs are now! I still have 259 open tabs in Vivaldi alone and 20 open in Brave, but I will, okay, I just closed 4 in Brave, but it is 0340, and I need to go to bed!

It's amazing how useful that oil is.
It seems literally everything is created from the stuff.
It's just a shame that greed and laziness result in it becoming the death of us.
I sure hope the grandkids find some way to fix the mess.

Whatever became of dense thermal depolymerization?

Thermal depolymerization - Wikipedia
Thermal depolymerization ( TDP) is the process of converting a polymer into a monomer or a mixture of monomers, [1] by predominantly thermal means. It may be catalysed or un-catalysed and is distinct from other forms of depolymerisation which may rely on the use of chemicals or biological action.

Hydrothermal liquefaction - Wikipedia
Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) is a thermal depolymerization process used to convert wet biomass, and other macromolecules, into crude-like oil under moderate temperature and high pressure. [1] The crude-like oil has high energy density with a lower heating value of 33.8-36.9 MJ/kg and 5-20 wt% oxygen and renewable chemicals.

Is the bacterial solution scalable?
