'Manage Attachments' RIP?

1 Attachment(s)
Twice now, when attempting to link photos to a thread, I've noticed that the 'Manage Attachments' 'button' no longer exists in the menu.
Just thought I'd mention it.

I haven't had that problem, but I have had many others, like needing to log in repeatedly.

I read it is because [spins wheel] Old Mechanic abandoned us.

Yeah I can’t do a bunch of stuff now including attaching a pic, nor can I change the font in any way.

It's all User Redacted's fault?

I'd add an attachment but I don't want to show off.

When I used Bulletin Board Systems my friend ran one and someone set up 2 areas using MCI codes so that everyone thought a few areas had their names in them.

We got in an argument over whose areas they actually were until my friend's little brother told us about MCI codes.

It there anything like that in BB Code?

MCI Codes | ENiGMA½ BBS Software - GitHub Pages
Some predefined codes produce information about the current user, system, or other statistics while others are used to instantiate a View. General Information MCI codes are composed of two characters and are prefixed with a percent (%) symbol. To explicitly tie a MCI to a specific View ID, suffix the MCI code with a number. For example: %BN1.
Without going deeper it sounds like an escape code. Your answer would be here: www.bbcode.org/reference.php

But then vBulletin is a subset. forum.vbulletin.com/articles/vbulletin-5-connect-aa/reference

We've created a new package that is intended to facilitate the replacement of custom PHP modules with custom Display Template modules. It also demonstrates how to create custom API functions in general. You will find this package attached below. Steps to replace a PHP module Module Edit the api/main.php file Find the customWidgetHtml function Copy your php code from the module into the function. Change the code to generate a string value instead of echoing content and set that to the $myhtml par...

But then [again] that may only apply to version 5.

I skimmed bb code, but didn't see anything interesting.

Did you frequent BBSes?

freebeard 05-26-2022 10:40 AM

I didn't have a modem until the mid-90s. It was a 14.4K wart double-stick taped to the side of the Mac TV.

It was all Usenet before the WWW.

internet link success by default

As a last ditch effort, I just typed in the internet address showing.
When I submitted the thread, the video belonging to the address appeared.
I don't understand what's happened, but I'll try to navigate like this.
