The comparison is not entirely fair.

The Mercedes allegedly has a device that sucks in air at the front and blows it out in the wake at the back, heated and mixed with CO2.
Though it helps aerodynamically, it makes the Mercedes use a lot more gas that the Tesla.
In two weeks time further details will become clear ;)
