Mpguino settings Civic Hx

First of all, Hello all. I am new to the ecomodder scene but so far have liked what I've seen here. Just signed up but have been lurking on here for quite some time now. :D
I obtained a stock '97 Civic Hx through trade about a year ago after a devastating engine fire fiasco on my '98 Eclipse GSX. Since then I have absolutely loved the MPG this car puts out as is. About low to mid 40s, especially after some much need maintenance(egr was a mess). I now see that my '03 Tiburon Gt (my other car),which only gets about 23mpg, has been bleeding me dry. Purchased a MPguino for the Hx from mpguino.wiseman.ee/eng not too long after getting the car but just got around to installing it about a week ago. I love this little thing. Almost turns it into a game while driving to see how fuel efficient you can be. I have a vague understanding of the calibration thanks to the wiki page and installation page on the sellers website. What I don't know is about the other settings for my specific vehicle such as delay/inj. type/ect.. Any Hx owners with a finely tuned Mpguino that would like to shed some light? I guess all of the settings info would be helpful as a starting point. Please and thanks

Sorry only running a vacuum gauge here. The mpguino wont be able to calibrate for lean burn but it will give you a good base to drive with.

There are only a few hx members still active but they are Very fun to daily drive as it becomes the gas mileage game

Really? It was my understanding that this was the advantage of Mpguino over scanguage being that scanguage is a set AFR device..
I have contemplated installing a vacuum gauge and/or scanguage(mainly for TPS & Temp). Have you found that a vacuum gauge has allowed you to better maintain lean burn?

I also assumed Mpguino could detect and give accurate display of lean burn.

Anyway, set this for your microsec/gal, should be dangerously close.

315451000

Those should be the first 9 digits. The rest will be 0's. As an example, I don't know how many digits there are total...

000315451000

Thank you Baltothewolf. Much appreciated. I'll at least be close for now. I am now on my 3rd try calibrating lol as I have inadvertently disconnected my battery while working on the car for the 3rd time before using up my tank. While it's a good practice, it is not so good when you then realize the device has reset.

I use the Mpguino on my HX and it is dead on. Well it was my HX but it's my sons now. It's the only monitor that I know of that does work with lean burn.

Great to hear iveyjh. Sounds like I'm in good company on here. Assuming that your Hx is 49 state emissions and is 96-00 is the value set for microsec/gal similar to the one stated by Baltothewolf? Also regarding the other settings on the device are they as follows?
VSS Pulses/Mile : 0000008208
Microsec/Gallon : 0315451000
Pulses/2 revs : 0000000001
Injector DelayuS : 0000000500
VSS Delay ms : 0000000002
InjType 0,1,2 : 0000000000

Much appreciated. Sorry for all of the questions but I truly want this device to be dead on lol

I didn't mess with any settings but VSS/Gallon & Microsec/Gallon and I don't remember what they were with stock setup. I have changed fuel pressure since then and it had to be re-calibrated. I'd go with the other guys starting point and do a calibration at the next few fill-ups.

Oh ok, Good deal. Just checking (& double checking lol). You mention an AFC on your Hx. So is that to say you are running open loop all the time at a constant predetermined AFR? Better FE?

No problem at all, glad to help. Just stop unplugging your 12v :P
