My 95 Thunderbird.

No, it is not an eco car per say....but it is one of my other cars.

Some on here were asking to see some pics of it and another car I have...so, here it is.

Well, it is a 1995 Thunderbird.

It used to be my daily driver, it had a 4.6L with a 75 dry shot of nitrous.

Back then at its current weight of 3,940 lbs, it ran a best of 14.15 @96 mph, while cutting 1.99 60's on street tires.

Here are a couple pics of before....

Well, after running nitrous to long untuned, it got the best of my engine.

So, out came the 4.6 and in went a 351W and a C6 tranny.

Install was pretty fun. Since no one makes aftermarket stuff for birds, I had to custom make a few things to get stuff to fit right.

First off, to get the engine to fit, I had to cut the rear of the k-member to get the 7 quart moroso pan to fit.

Next, to get any kind of header to fit, I had to make my own steering shaft...

Had to bend my longtubes a bit to make em fit around the C6 tranny...

Still use the OEM in-tank fuel pump for now....but added a low pressure return style FPR...

Exterior is basically stock, I run factory spare wheels up fromt with 165R 15's on them. and Out back are stock t-bird fan blades with 26x8.5x15 slicks.

I'm sure I've left something out, but here is a rundown of my mods...

Still running stock heads, cam, and intake 351W from an 85 F150.

Edelbrock 600cfm Carb.

Mallory Unilte Dizzy

MSD TFI coil.

Accel wires.

1 5/8 Longtubes

2 1/2" exhuast(about 12 inches) into dumped Edelbrock mufflers.

2" carb spacer

Electric water pump

4:10 track lock rear

MT 26x8.5x15" slicks.

More weight removal....car is now down to 2,960 lbs.

suspension....up front is QA1 coilovers, speacially made for the car(which means $$$$$$). They are 12 way adjustable 90/10 with 325 lb springs.
out back are OEM springs with 2 coils cut on each spring.
also, still run the stock IRS.

It ran a best of 13.85 @96.42 mph w/ a best 60' @ 1.88, and best 1/8 was 8.79 @ 78.33 mph.

time slips....

I *personally* would love to swap a 32v motor and 6 speed into a '12th' gen bird. Im just not an old pushrod/carb guy I guess.
