Need recommendations: fun, electric 2-seater
I'm looking for suggestions for a fun electric vehicle. Basically it will be a short-range grocery getter and child delivery vehicle so it needs to be safe and compatible with a child seat.
Three wheels would be great. I don't think 2 wheels are safe enough. And sold in Texas if possible. I'd also be interested in any kits that I could build  :turtle: |

Maybe something like this might work, they are about the size of a Side-by-Side UTV, but definitely check local guidelines and laws first!

Polaris GEM golf carts -- two more seats, one more wheel, 25MPH top speed.

I really like the GEM golf cart suggestion, guys. Thanks! The lithium ion batteries are expensive but I guess I could buy AGM for starters and upgrade to lithium later

Thanks for raising the question.
It prompted me to post Permalink #2, which showed me that a certified used FUV is at the $12.9K price point I signed on for. I shall look into selling the SUPERBeetle, an engine, transaxle, fiberglass fender skirts and various bit and pieces. If I don't raise the funds, payment should be low. I need something that can do short runs up or down Interstate-5. |
Another idea was to buy a Factory 5 kit but make it electric. May be more work than I have space/time for right now but it would be awesome

Factory Five child delivery vehicle?
"It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see it if pays off for 'em." Compare Speedway's pricing: Quote:
$4K roller, then a golf-cart rear axle https://ecomodder.com/forum/member-f...ectric-t-3.jpg For managing a child seat, maybe the center-door sedan? https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3869...526f098d8c.jpg https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3869...526f098d8c.jpg I'd want BMW i3 Ecopias on red 19x3" Model A wires. |
