NEW 06 Tundra
 

Have a 2006 toyota tundra.
It has a 6 inch lift and 35's so i get really bad mpg's.
i have a K&N intake but nothing else new really.
I am just looking for some ideas to get better mpg.
If theres any mods you know of tell me it would really help!

I dont know my mpg atm but by what i get a tank i think its some were around 11-12

A good starting point is to buy a real truck, like the Silverado or F150, not some pig looking truck.

If you are serious, I would say lower it back to stock and put stock wheels on it.

I doubt you are serious though.

i am im not trying to get like 50 mpg's just better then i get
that would just be a total waste of money the tires are used alot so wouldnt sell good and the lifts as old as the truck and would have to pay to get it taken off.

A bunch of guys around here have fun trucks for weekend mudding and romping around now and then. What I would suggest if you must have your truck is purchase an inexpensive vehicle for commuting during the week when you put the most miles on. You can mod your tundra for better mileage, but you'll never come anywhere near close to what a small or even medium sized car will do without any modding.

If you can't do that, your last option would be to check out the 65+ mods list and more importantly the 100+ hypermiling tips. The hypermiling tips will show you immediate results and likely more than you'll see from modifications.

The first thing you should do is make sure those big tires are properly inflated.

they are i check once a week and ill check those mods list out i dont have a smaller car but i could check that out really good idea

What kind of gas mileage do you get now? I honestly believe you will be wasting your money/time if you do the list of mods to your truck. Your number 1 and number 2 money savers will be lowering it back down, and putting stock size tires on it. You can always "adjust the nut" but I have driven a lifted truck, and almost none of my heavy eco driving helped the gas mileage. I went from 13.4 or so to 13.8.

My other suggestion would be buy a small car.
