New, 95 civic vx
I'm new to the mpg world, I own a 95 civic vx, need to replace o2 sensor, live in lexington ky, and I'm in the Army. Other than that, just a normal dude looking to save some pennies.

Welcome!
You've got a perfect car to start saving with. The O2 sensor is a common issue on the lean burn cars. What kind of mileage have you been getting before joining the site and w/ O2 sensor issues? |
I also own a 95 VX. Just with driving mods alone expect 55-60mpg. Get a MPGuino and a few small mods and you will be 60+. Welcome.
|
my first tank since owning the car ( I bought it a week ago) was at 40 mpg. Hoping to get the MPGuino, and a new o2 sensor, maybe a kill switch and start getting some of these higher numbers i keep hearing about.

kentucky? you might have purchased that car off of a fellow member. is it teal?

Yes it is teal

Cool, If the seller was Troy I sold him the ecu for that car. glad to see its saying in the Eco community.
|
It was Troy! I'm led to believe the Ecu is working great, I believe he needed it to fix the AC, it works great!

Excellent. He sent me some pics of it while he had it for sale. Looked like a clean car for the mileage. Def worth what he was asking.
Be careful when buying a new 02. The cheap ones tend to stumble/throw engine lights for some cars. Just a heads up if you haven't read about it already. Tons of lean burn cars and info on this site |
yea, seems like the ntk 243000 is the cheapest one that'll get the job done. 180 isn't to bad i guess.
