New here, want to know how to increase my MPG.

I drive a 1995 Honda Del Sol Si with the SOHC VTEC.

What can I do to get more gas mileage? I've read over all the gadgets and gizmo you can get online, but they all look like it can mess your car up and i don't want that.

Thanks!

First, read the sticky at the top of the forum...:)

Look at the sticky in the aerodynamics section also. Those two will answer most of your questions.

The biggest way is to not drive. The second biggest way is altering driving style (driving w/out brakes, optimal acceleration, 55mph max speed, etc.). The next alternatives are vehicle modifications. These can range from pumping up tires to max+ sidewall pressure to building a boattail.

If you are mechanically inclined, you might think about dropping in a d15z1 w/ an HF transmission. Adding lightweight vx tires will also help.

Welcome to the site! That's a sweet car...too bad the aero is so bad! A member on here used to be able to squeeze 60+ out of an S model del sol.

Welcome to the site MartialArtist. Check out the links provided. They should get you started. Got any pictures of your car?

Mak, thats an interesting product. But, please do not post your first post advertising in someone else's introduction thread.

Hi MAK

I deleted the link to your web site.

I suggest that if you'd like to talk about your product, start by introducing yourself in the appropriate forum, rather than placing your product link in a random thread. (If you're just here to blatantly advertise, your account & all posts will be removed.)

You should expect that members will be respectfully skeptical of any claims you may make, and have high standards for what they will accept as "proof" of efficiency gains. Anecdotal claims won't cut it.

Here's a picture of my car and thanks everyone for the welcome. Always nice to be part of a down to earth forum. :)

MartialArtist -

Welcome to EM! Like SVOboy says, there's some good MPG hiding in your Del Sol.

Sorry, guys, I did not mean to advertise.

I just like to know if anybody interested to test the new technology.
I will provide free samples in exchange of feedback to get not anecdotic testimonials.
