how do I determine these?

what is my combined epa mileage? 2003 mustang gt manual

anything else I should know about the calculation tool?

I googled all of those things for my car, and found several places that gave the same numbers. EPA.gov will give you your mileage ratings.

i found the 15/23 but is combined just the average? and i found the .36 cd, but what about the frontal area?

Combined is usually NOT the average, it's a number derived from EPA tests. Combined means some highway, some city, and it's from testing that they get the number. You might have to search the internet awhile to find it.

Frontal area isn't super important for the fuel log, you can go without it and it won't hurt anything. Other than that you will just be searching a lot to find it somewhere.

Also: The EPA combined estimate is really just, well, an estimate. I don't think I've ever gotten an exact number of miles per gallon (IE there are always decimals in there.)
The EPA rounds their numbers, so it's just a guideline. You could probably just make up a number that sounds reasonable, there's no harm in that.
I don't think you'll be able to find a combined number because the EPA testing was different when that car was being tested than it is now. 18 or 19 MPG would probably be a realistic combined rating.

What we have on the list is a SVT Mustang Cobra 1994 - 2004. Cd is .37 and Cda is explained at the top of the page. For that vehicle is 7.99.

SON1C, combined EPA estimate for your 2003 Mustang GT manual is 19 MPG.
