New trip record, 111mpg!

I've got a short trip to get home from my office, so I know that it may be a little misleading... but previously my best on the way home was around 80mpg. Today I decided to take a slightly different route and got 111mpg! I'm happy, but I'm still going to try to beat it.

Good going:thumbup:

Is the new route also shorter? How does total fuel used compare between routes?

Actually it's about .75mi longer. However that added distance is without the engine running. :)

Total fuel consumed is not too different, .005gal less.

The 111mpg is NOT a representation of what the car does on a regular basis, but seeing as I make the trip from office to home almost every day, I get excited when I beat my previous best trip mpg.

Wow great result for a fellow Honda Civic driver. Are you doing EOC just using the key?

Yeah, I haven't installed a kill switch yet. It's on the to-do list though.

I can usually get about 45-50mpg going the other direction, but usually it requires that I stop at a couple of traffic lights.

The map is a screen shot from the Bike Maps, Cycling Workout, Biking Routes | MapMyRide website.

There's a thread title that gets attention. Congrats!

I bet you could get much better MPGs by pushing the car to work? (lol)

In all seriousness, that's really good. Eventually I will get me one of those ScanGauges. Never had a car with more than a basic computer till recently.
