Brewin,

That sounds like a sweet ride. I've got a '98 Civic hatchback. It's looking like I can pull about 40 MPG out of it in the near future, maybe more. :) My goal is 50 (for now).

I'm not sure about ?OBD2 Downloads?

I know there are small units which plug into your OBDII computer which you can buy for $80-$150, or make for about $40-50. That's if you're looking for an active MPG readout. MPGuino is the self-made one, UltraGauge is the cheap pre-made one, and a ScanGauge II is the standard which most people around here seem to have.

I'm going with the UltraGauge.

You can buy the Scangauge II directly from here. Otherwise the UltraGauge is available from its own website, and an MPGuino is a do-it-yourself deal. Not sure where to buy parts and stuff for those.

Good luck :)

I will dito the post above on choices of mpg displays. They all do metric units I believe.

Hi weather Spotter hope you are well,
Thank you very much for your input I really do appreciate it, the reason I'm looking for this program is for fault finding. A friend got hold of it and used it on his ChryslerJeep Renegade and saved himself ££££'s. unfortuneatly when he tried it on mine (Nissan) the lights flashed on the link cable but would not communicate with the ECU we can only put it down to the Jeep being american = English and the Nissan = Japanies
Thanks again

Hi JMac hope you are well.
Yes it is a very good ride, I dont think they do the X-Trail in the USA do they, It was one of the last 114bhp and when I bought it, I had it re-maped pushing it up to 140bhp so the power band is right across the scope so instead of having to rev it to pull away like diesels it now drives like a petrol.
A very good friend called it BEAST a name which has stuck with it. (It would pull a house over) Haaaa. I retired early, me and the other half have just bought a 23'.6'' caravan and we're going to do a bit of touring, going to France in September for about 5-6 weeks.
all the best and you take care.
Regards
Brewin

The ScanGauge does, but the Ultragauge doesn't at the moment.
