Virgin Hyperloop One human test Demo on Bloomberg QuickTake 5-20-21

https://youtu.be/QScaLhDVacg

Back in 2013, Elon had an idea. In 2021, those brilliant engineers who grinded out the details, launched the 1st human demonstration of this new form of transportation. This highly efficient zero emissions form of transportation uses maglev in an vacuum tube.

The video above demonstrates 2 humans being propelled to a speed 108 mph, over a short distance of only 500 yards, during a test run.

It’s quite expensive, not sure it’ll make it into commercial production, but it’s transitioned from concept into the difficult process of reality.

Remember that Elon has a history of getting other people to pay his engineering costs. No idea what this project is prepaying for, unless it's human habitat in partial vacuum or pressure containment systems.

Ah, preparing for life on Mars. Interesting

Easiest way to completely do away with aero drag.

Reducing aero drag comes at the cost of the vacuum. Wonder if the overall system still requires the same amount of total energy to transport people, if not more, due to losses.

Since it is leaky by design, I suspect not
