Not as even of tread wear as I thought.

Yes, I know I ran it to long.

This tire was run on my Golf from 165,000 miles until 205,000 miles (40,000 Miles). First ~20,000 miles on front then the rest on the rear. Tires are always inflated to max sidewall (51) **Except** for track time when the rears go up to ~60 (depends on temp) and the fronts go down to ~40 (also depends on track/ temp). Tires don't have very much track time (2 days road corse, and may be a half dozen AutoX's (2 drivers).

P.S. That is Polyester Gelcoat + Chopped strand on my shoes, and paint on my driveway.

You weren't one of the guys belittling me for stating that overinflation causes premature wear down the center... were yah?

For a while there I felt very alone on that one.

Probably me, but to be fair the difference in tread depth is ~1.5mm except at shoulder where the tread was deeper to start with. And appears to be shifted toward the inside potentially indicating that my "slammed" suspension is throwing the alignment out . . . . Also I may have worn the shoulder more with track time . . . ..

That is one bald tire! It must have been hydroplaning a long time ago?

I second that statement.

Not detectable to the driver (me) I would have thought so also. Car still understeered in the rain, well the Scandanavian flick was a little easier (only tried once) in the wet. Maybe the fact that the right rear (this was left rear) had a little more tread helped . . . . Maybe the fact that I'm used to driving Overpowered RWD cars with big tread blocks and free used rubber . . . . .

Totally don't know.

Racing slicks?

Those still have a second life awaiting them as drag slicks, my friend.

Or, a wall. Yep. A wall.
