So, that is what Phil has been doing with his copious free time! :D

It sounds interesting, but...

We are excited however; our first book is out there in the world, for good or otherwise. Now that we know the process we can self-publish my next book Tikopia IV in 2018. [snip] With all the Near Term Human Extinction material that has become available in the last few years I now have my ending which I did not have when I stopped writing on the book a few years ago.
If it's near term, why would I need the first book? :)

Some questions:
  • How was working with Create Space? You handed them a file and they shipped product?
  • Do you see any possibility of scraping the Ecomodder website to extract all of aerohead's posts? I guess I answered my own question
I did a lot of proof-reading in the 1980s (I could walk up to to a screen of text and my eye would go right to any misspelling. Not as good with punctuation) but my friend with a vanity press operation doesn't feel the need to employ me. :(

Near Term H E is unspecified. I think NTHE is a incentive to act. Many people in the NTHE crowd think it is already too late to act and proscribed doing nothing which makes it a self fulfilling prophecy

The call to inaction — it will be the death of us all.

I\'m thinking about my 2nd question. I\'ll post in Forum News & Feedback to see if the Terms of Service allow it. A likely entry point would be http://ecomodder.com/forum/search.php?searchid=2936871

I have been hearing the various scenarios for the end of the world for 50 years now. So I decided long ago to do my homework, whether it be on strategic bombing, hyperinflation, or resource depletion. I eventually found that there are a number of things we can do to avoid the overshoot and collapse die offs described in "Limits to Growth". Amazingly the bedrock principles have been known since Moses and the Pentateuch. Equal protection before the law, secure personal property, specie currency, and crop rotation are concepts we can understand and apply. As to technology, we see value management and Quality Assurance taking the place of "More, more, more".

You seem to fall in the optimist camp. I am not so sanguine. This is different than the fall of the Roman Empire. We are in for some wicked ecological crashes even us going away won\'t fix for centuries.

I don\'t buy into the alarmist disinformation on greenhouse gas models. Rather we should better understand the cause and effect mechanisms of solar radiation and land usage. Do we believe National Geographic or the research which shows a 1,500 year cycle? There are feedback loops with plant growth and water vapor. Talk to the people who have built solar greenhouses.
I lived through the Cuban missile crisis, major energy disruptions, hurricanes, floods, double digit inflation, recessions, -25 F blizzards, sending my son to war in Iraq, unemployment, and the Obama administration. My last full time job was in an industrial glass research facility working with scientists from around the world.
There is no end to the ideas people try to \'sell\' using fear as a tool of manipulation. The good news is that there are at least twice as many people hard at work finding solutions to our problems. We have seen the fuel mileage and economic life of the average passenger car double while the traffic death toll has dropped by 25%. I have watched the water pollution in Lake Erie and air pollution in Buffalo, NY reversed. Doing nothing means freezing or starving.
Thank those who have taken time to discover the facts, think them through, and publish the results. At Christmas time we are reminded there is a God in heaven who is active in the affairs of men.

You don\'t have all the information needed to make a decision about this. The very same science process that advances the technology you proudly point to is giving us a bleak picture of our climate future. If anything the IPCC and too many mainstream climate scientist are not being alarmist enough.

I was going to find the climate Consensus thread, but I\'ll drop this here.

I\'ve drunk the S0 Kool-aid, so I believe that the Anthropogenic Warming is staving off an oncoming mini-Ice Age and these chemtrails to reflect sunlight will be our undoing.

It\'s a perfect storm of four negative forcings, including the Beaufort Gyre.
