Old Air dam= New Grill Block? What you think?

Hey my sister drives a jetta and her air dam was falling off multiple times (mostly because she cant drive and runs on curbs all the time) and She asked me to fix it again (it was hanging off one side) I told her I could fix it or just take the whole thing off and she told me to just take it off...

So then I got a air dam and I didn't really think about it until today but I could use it as a good grill block eh? light weight, durable, and big enough to cut to the size I need for my upper grill.

You opinions... I still have some foam core board, enough to re-make the grill block like 2 more times once mine goes bad from rain and stuff, should I just keep using that?

Also, the grill block is pretty scratched up, will that make the aero gain go bad?

Here are some pictures, the red squares are to show the random flat spots I could used to fit in my grill, the blue squares are ones that MIGHT fit...

No, don't go there, the molecular alignments in the structure are all wrong and will lead to heartache and dismay. and worse fe.

I figured once I cut out the square I would try to fatten it out as much as possible with heat and some flat pressure  still bad idea ya think?
