*POLL* How many miles are on your car?
If you have more than one car, check mark all answers before submitting (I allowed it)
Screenshots welcome, encouraged if your over 200k This is just something interesting id like to see since we all drive our cars pretty lightly they must last way longer than average... |

I took the liberty to add "200k to 250k". Hope that's ok with you. I'm less than 2K miles to 200k right now. CarloSW2 |

The poll was missing the "200k to 250k" option. CarloSW2 |

Someone over a quarter million, very impressive!
My 1988 Pontiac Fiero had about that much before the wreck, I wish so bad I would have taken a picture of the odometer before I sent it off to the junk yard, here was the last picture I took of it, quite a while before the wreck... http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...1&d=1280905706 |
Just under 117k right now in my Geo, but I've put on 7800 miles in the 15 weeks I've owned it (that's about 520 miles per week). Luckily I get 50 MPG so I'm only at the gas station once every 5-6 days generally.
|
Just wondering why that poll is adding up to 225% instead of 100% haha

I deliver pizzas, I put about 60 miles a day on that neon, and now starting with the Accord...

87,354 Km today ( 54596 miles)
I think it would've been better to ask: how many miles on your engine |
531,000 miles so far, 140,000 miles of that with aeromods.
|
The TDI just turned 240k miles.
|
Lets see...
Prius = 65,000 Paseo = 90,000 Aveo = 108,000 Tercel = 207,000 |
Almost 7,000. It was my grandpas for a few months and i've been driving it since December.

105,340 miles on the Jeep. It had 99,820 on it when I bought it at the end of January. The gas mileage may suck, but I love it anyway!
As far as driving gently vs hard, being hard on an engine doesn't actually shorten its lifespan, and by running it hard (even if it's just an occasional Italian tuneup), you keep the rings seated well, and it carbons up less. That is, assuming it's well maintained and in good mechanical condition. Hard running can shorten a tranny's life a bit though. |
2009 Vibe = 19K
2004 Vibe = 135K 1999 Malibu = 165K |
Poll options spacing: You're doing it wrong.
http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/im...v=mpbl-1&px=-1 You're suggesting that the difference betweeen 10k and 90k is just as important as the difference between 310k and 390k. Not so. Next time use geometric spacing where the next poll option is x times bigger than the previous. [/math lesson] I'm pretty sure I've crossed 50k by now. The car's odometer only shows up when I'm not using the segment fuel consumption display, which is very seldom. |

I've got 320,000+ on mine; speedo is intermittent currently though I'm still tracking via GPS... probably closer to 325,000 miles. Purchased it with ~300k on the clock; still runs smooth as ever |
286k on my del sol/civic

besides people like different things, like some people will brag about having over 500,000 miles and some will brag about having 500 miles on their car Im wasn't trying to make anything a contest |
My 94 VX is just about to hit 60k miles, salvage rebuilt, bought in March 2008.
The Fiberfab Migi (53 TD replica) kit on a 73 VW donor has 64k miles on a 1973 model. The 2008 Altima Coupe has 20k, still in the shop being rebuilt, also a salvage vehicle. regards Mech |
The car is around 170,000 and the truck has been rolled past the max several times so I went with 250,000-300,000. It is hard to keep track of miles on a farm truck when you are the second owner.

196,000 miles Switched to all synthetic fluids about 5,000 miles ago. I think my car really likes it. Consistantly above 30 mpg except in winters when it gets cold and I make short trips going to school. I am going to install an engine block heater this fall. I am currently on a road trip in Jacksonville, FL. We are going home to Arlington, TX this weekend. Arlington, TX to Jacksonville, FL: 33 mpg average, 60-65 mph, ac on the whole time (we had the dog with us). The best tank we averaged close to 36 mpg going about 55 with ac on. When we get home I am going to replace the differential fluid that I didn't realize my car had. Whoops! Thinking about changing my synthetic oil at 6,000 miles (this will be my 2nd refill with Mobil Synthetic for High Mileage Vehicles 5w30 with Mobil Filter) |
306k km / 190k miles on my Jetta.
It's currently laid up to solve an electrical gremlin and re-cert for another province. Regarding that engine/body comment ... I bought my car in 2006, and then VW re-released (in Canada, at least) the "City" Jetta/Golf - same Mk IV body style as my 2000. So, when the body on mine eventually goes, I'll carefully consider the option of buying a newer 2007-2009 City Jetta, since it should be close to 99% compatible with my car's shell, and around 8 years newer, with Greta's little ticker still running the works. |

I just got my vehicle in April, so it has less than 3000 miles on it.
My last vehicle had 148,591 when I got rid of it. That is by far the most miles I have ever put on a vehicle. |

Mine just recently passed the 150k mark. Still plenty of life left, and I'm hoping she'll see 300k!

Accord is sidelined with bald tires and 315,000 on the clock. Driving the Uranus now, and just hit 110,000 miles.
|
Just shy of 189k on my SL1 right now. Hopefully will be swapping out the autotragic MP6 for an MP2 5-speed.
