FYI
https://pulstar.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Df21alnsq0 If anybody has purchased and driven with the Pulstar spark plugs please share your input and experience. thanks |
I perused their website. That actually looks promising. I think I'll spring for some of those for my upcoming plug change. Thanks.

Didn't these come out a couple of years ago? Perhaps they were in pre-production back then or something...
If someone has tried them, please don't judge them by your "butt dyno"...give us some firm data, like a recorded MPG increase. |

Used them years ago on my 1997 Toyota Paseo. Didn't notice an improvement in mpg. A year later one of the plugs failed and I went back to NGK plugs.

Although I find the technology statements somewhat compelling . If these have been around from calendar year 2016 apparently have not taken off . The word Plasma always a techie draw. The average cost of Pulstar is $16 per so can be pricey. Additionally you have to order online not available at AZ or Oreilly`s
Thanks |

The principle is pretty solid, a capacitor increases the electrical efficiency and keeps the arc going longer. Higher wear would be expected, and consumer reviews suggest the quality might not be up to OEM standards.
Since it's not a revolutionary improvement, I would just stick to normal plugs. |
My friend had them on his E36 325i and he didn't notice any performance/mpg improvement.
