Removable grille block? Any ideas?

So, my car has this big gaping hole in the front and lately it's been bothering me cause it's obviously an aerodynamic biohazard. Only problem is it's a brand new bumper and is (nearly) flawless. I really do not want to put any holes or paint damage on it... anybody have any ideas for something to put over the front girlle? I would need something along the lines of a static cling, but I'd be afraid that would be too flimsy.

What I'm thinking of doing for my car is a big fiberglass plank shaped to the car that attached with velcro so I can just pop it on and off. :)

You should be able to zip tie or bungee cord to the horizontal member. I would vote for the same heavy plastic that you used for your ground scraping contraption. Otherwise I know of at least one person that has a pool noodle that is cut on one side and friction fit into the grill area. Easy to remove, no paint damage, and if you buy it at the end of the pool season, it's a great price... downsides would be that it probably won't match the color of your car without painting.

Your Taurus has a gaping hole?? Looks pretty aerodynamic to me.

I think he means the top grill opening

LOL - that was 20 seconds of edit/save as in MSPaint.

I used to spend days in MS Paint just playing around, lowering cars and stuff... takes WAYYY too long, but if you can work pixel for pixel, you can get it looking really nice.

I used styrofoam wrapped in duct tape for my Civic. Doesn't do much aerodynamically (at least at low to medium speeds) but it sure helps warm up the engine faster.
