Electric clutch pulley on powersteering pump.

I been see alot new cars had electric power steering pump

My question why aren't there aftermarket companies made those for old cars?

My idea was convert pulley to AC clutch pulley which shouldn't be drag that bad.

If I had patience and focus on it. I could made one for my 94 F150 4.9L. Reason I want electric to avoid put load on engine cause waste mileage.

When I remove belt I was curious how hard to spin power steering pump. It was definably drag I would say it use 5-10 hp to spin in winter time.

Have anyone tried put electric pulley on their power steering pump,

Why is because of the sudden change in steering response between clutch on and clutch off- anyone besides the guy at home that does it himself would be exposed to huge liability.
