Iron Nitride batteries

The future starts real soon now.

It begins with an interesting retrospective. They used to make magnets by beating them with a hammer.

So no one cares about better magnets?

This reminds me of the Tesla's alongside the road with a gas generator recharging it. ....in reverse.

Using a gas engine to replace the electricity to pump the gas.

Pick one. I'm just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

What if that engine actually runs on moonshine booze? On a sidenote, some sugar/ethanol mills in my country were earning more profits from cogeneration burning the sugarcane leftovers as a boilers fuel than from ethanol.

When it comes to battery chemistry, both energy density and chemical stability should be regarded the same level of priorities in order to really render EVs and plug-in hybrids suitable to a larger amount of the public. Long-term durability is quite obvious to mention as a relevant matter for the average Joe to embrace the PHEV (or maybe EV depending on the operating conditions) bandwagon.

You mean, like the drivers, who are filling up?

A guy I was in high school with had a black over yellow 1953 Buick hardtop just like that one.

He slid it backward into the roadside truck loading dock at the McKee's dairy.

Alchohol may have been involved.
