So I see this drawing of the future Civic and I wonder how close it will match the template.

Looks close, crazy close, I think they cheated a bit high then a bit low to get the most usability out of the back glass. The rear deck lid is dead on at the back.

It's the most economical way any automaker can get higher EPA HWY mpg ratings.With the looming CAFE standards they'll have to phase in a little slicker shapes each styling iteration so as not to scare off consumers,while meeting the more stringent targets.
Even Rolls-Royce is flirting with the template with it's Wraith fastback billionaire's car.
