Some pics of my truck with smooth hubcaps
I'm attempting to make my '05 5-spd, 5-cyl Colorado into a hypermiler truck (hoping to get 30+ mpg out of it). I added the 15" smooth racing hubcaps (a tonneau cover is next). Here are some pictures:

Kind of looks futuristic (even though these racing discs are really "old school"). BTW, I got them off ebay for $73 delivered. There are 3 sets of 14" ones for that price as well: 4 TRAVEL BOAT TRAILER HUBCAPS FULL MOON WHEELCOVERS 14" : eBay Motors (item 320447875166 end time Apr-10-10 19:47:44 PDT) -Tim |
 Aero is beautiful, and I think moon discs would go well with rear wheel skirts.
How do they attach? |
They have the usual metal clip retainers. They're very easy to install...no tools needed,
just align the valve stem with the slot on the hubcap and then tap it on with the butt of your hand all the way around. |
It would be so hard spending $70 knowing that normal hubcaps are only $25 at Wal-mart.
I think my stealies are bent anyways b/c my hubcaps keep falling off on the same rim... BTW, Looks good... |
I lke'em!

If the truck was black, they would look better.

Me likey! I definitely think "the look" is clean and cool. Years ago when I did the same for my 1997 SC2, I had them powder coated for $20 a piece. They turned soooooooo many heads, you just wouldn't believe : http://ecomodder.com/forum/member-cf...0-1997-sc2.jpg CarloSW2 |
5speed5 -- looks like there are no valve-stem "holes" visible, so how do you check your tire pressure at each gas fillup?
