"Stealth" Mods, or Out and Proud?
Question for all you modders:
Do you prefer keeping your cars looking as stock as possible when planning your projects, or do you want your modifications to be obvious so that other people come up to you to ask about your weird-looking car, and you can start conversations about ecomodding/hypermiling? Everything I've done to my current car is pretty unnoticeable. Mud flap delete, 45psi tires, and my grille block is black foam weatherstripping that is barely visible. But I almost miss the way people used to ask about the grille block and wheel skirts that I fashioned out of packaging tape on my old car. |
I prefer stock looking or professional looking mods.
Its the engineer in me. But then again my cars are not usually old beaters. |
I prefer unnoticeable everything.

As long as they look good.

I don't care if mods are visible, only that they don't look jerry-rigged. My current set of mods needs a few improvements in that regard (black screws would go a long way):
http://ecomodder.com/forum/attachmen...1&d=1502117928 That leads me to trying to decide if my upcoming smooth wheel cover mod should be silver, body coloured, black, or painted to look like factory wheel covers. |
Stealth for me.
I don't care to draw any extra attention from law enforcement. |
Even though I outfavor some mods that change the stock looks too heavily, my main concern would be how they affect the practicality of the vehicle.

many mods make the car look futuristic, which im a fan of :D
