A Coroplast "bank"

It's cold, there's debates on TV. Election season is coming ever closer, which will be immediately followed by loot-like-crazy coroplast season. Would it be possible to have a few coroplast veterans explain how to safely and discreetly obtain a bumper crop of coroplast? Campaign signs are easily stacked and tied up, so I was also wondering if anyone would like to group up and keep inventory of a communal "pool" of the good stuff.

If we can coordinate this correctly, there will be less coroplast headed to the dump and there would be plenty to hold the whole forum over for the next few years.

...and how nice would it be to never have this miracle material just out of reach

Step 1. Volunteer for a campaign.
Step 2. Offer to pick up the signs after the election.
Step 3. ???
Step 4. Profit!

Get to know a small town city council candidate. They'll likely have extras.

If anyone has ideas on how to score some in the city I'm all ears.

Right after the last election, I walked over to the local campaign HQ for one particular party on my lunch hour. They had dozens, if not hundreds, of coroplast signs in the place. They were cleaning up the place, and I asked if I could have some of the signs. They told me which ones I could and could not take, so I gathered up a good double armful.

Those are currently sitting in my garage waiting for a good project.

You can probably do the same thing; just find out where the local campaign HQ is and stop by just after the election.

Shameless bump/necro/whatever you might liken it to.

Currently preparing to hoard coroplast for general election. Living here in the cradle of the modern Democratic party, I found myself unable to acquire a good amount of primary 'plast.

Is anyone still up for getting some stacks together? I just think it would be a good idea to collect and redistribute the goods.

Ask and ye shall receive. The signs all have to come down within a few days after the election. There are other folks who put up signs also such as realtors.
