On the surface, seems like a much better solution over seeding plankton or compressing and storing etc. Plus, saving on scrubbers too is a big bonus (perhaps incentive?).

I have not had any faith in viable "scrubber" technology for coal power plants, so an alternative solution would be fantastic.

I don't know this...but wouldn't it be possible to do the same with an internal combustion engine somewhere around the catalytic converter (heat)?
