Are they getting dumber?
Rolling Coal: Conservatives who show their annoyance with liberals, Obama, and the EPA by blowing black smoke from their trucks.
“Rolling coal” is not new. It grew out of the modifications people would do on their vehicles for truck pulls. It’s just only recently entered the online culture wars. I’d seen the memes and a couple of the trucks. But I hadn’t seen the left reply until this month, when Vocativ ran an expose of “pollution porn for dudes with pickup trucks.” Progressives reacted with disbelief to Facebook communities like “Rollin’ COAL” and (naturally) “Prius Repellent,” and to the sheer number of Instagram and Tumblr entries that recorded this stuff. They reacted with a mid-June surge of comments, sprinkled throughout these pages, all about the breeding patterns and penis sizes of the coal-rollers. The liberals seem a little surprised that conspicuous consumption—waste, even—could be a method of protest. They shouldn’t be. The motivation for political coal rolling is roughly the same one that gets people buying guns and ammo after mass shootings. The expectation, every time, is that liberals will capitalize on the shootings to ban guns, so it’s time to stock up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBLu6cqxgv0 |
Totally bs interjecting politics into this.

Politics do not exist...they are a figment of your imagination. That black particulate matter is not real.
|
I think the typical coal roller may not be intellectually capable of forming a political opinion- Oh... wait... there are some political factions such a person would align with perfectly.
|
Not really surprised. Have met the type.
"I have the freedom and RIGHT to blow black cancer down your driveway, hippie." :D |
I don't think anyone goes out and buys a diesel truck, and a tuner, only so they can 'stick it to the man' by Rollin coal. I'm guessing every one of them at least wanted a truck and tuner, before joining any of these groups
|
Oh if they'd only go away. We have many of them around these parts, most with some form of <fingerquotes>rebel</fingerquotes> flag on their truck... in Wisconsin.
|
It's already illegal in many states to modify the truck to "roll coal", so the solution is to enforce the law by writing citations.
I wouldn't be surprised if coal roallers are comprised of mostly Republicans, but their behavior isn't a precept of the Republican party. It's not a valid argument against the Republican party agenda, just as it isn't a valid argument against the Democratic party when small groups of environmentalists perform terrorist acts. Idiots abound on both sides of the aisle and everywhere in-between (myself included). How many of us lit off fireworks last night, or supported an organization that lit off fireworks? I saw and smelled a lot of smoke, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. |
Yeah, that's a popular thing around here, but I guarantee that none of them are doing it to protest anything...they just do it because they think it's cool...as their Budweiser cans fly out of the bed of the truck LOL

BULL CRAP!!!!!!!! They exist in Virginia. Now like Frank Lee said, they may be disqualified from voting due to their recreational activities both past and present.
When I see people rolling coal, I just report the plate to the PD and say they were doing a burn out. Quote:
