Timing in 2000 Mercury 4.6
Is there any way to Kill the advance timing on my 2000 Mercury 4.6??
I would like a system allowing it to be switched on and off. I need it to run at top dead center at certain times. Rich |
Does someone offer a chip for that car that would allow timing control? I have no idea, but that 4.6 engine has been on the road since the 1992 model; so there should be some products on the market that would do what you want. Maybe a hot rod site?

There seems to be programmers via the ODBII port for around $300.00..

SCT Xcal3 is good for that. You can find some cheaper ones on eBay or around the various Panther platform forums.
