The company I work at also has a military spec hybrid truck, doesn't mean the military buys any but 8wd electrically driven with lockup is interesting on a 23ton truck

I thought turbine was over all better? I know how tempermental the Honda IMA system can be over all and a few of the toyota synergy problems. I know of all heat is the worse enemy for the battery part. I know most military vehicles do not have ac, so it seems like a moot point to even go that route.

Due to the extensive number of heat casualties in the OIF campaign, most combat military vehicles have been upgraded/retrofitted with A/C... though dropping the temp from upwards of 140F down to 115F doesn't help as much as you'd think!

84 tons? I seem to remember reading that the Germans in WW2 had some pretty advanced heavy tanks that were pretty much unstopable. Until they got to a bridge. Or a bog. Or a small road or any other surface that couldn't take their weight. And even those monsters were "only" 70 or so tons. I guess the folks at BAE don't have any history books in the employee lounge.

Interestingly enough the most advance civilizations have the best weapons.

Yeah, considering "normal" body temp is 98.6 and 105 is considered a hot fever, I do not know how anyone can cope in temps any higher than that. Maybe in the shade with low humidity its better?

Ive have my own xperience between my insight and its lifepo4 plug in battery when the temps reach 100 degrees with ac. Ive read about the lawsuits for Leafs in the West in the hot area as well as see in my warranty book for my Insight that they reduced the warranty in several hot states as well.
