Cool article about the 2013 Honda CR-Z

Found this article on another forum and thought I'd share it here as well...

Interview with Norio Tomobe, Large Project Leader of Honda CR-Z

The highlights?

It shows off the newer battery for the 2013 models that has 44% more output.

It gives some fun graphics showing how the drive-by-wire system reacts to the ECON/NORMAL/SPORT modes and also the new S+ button. Incidentally, the S+ button is a very fun feature providing maximum battery boost when you need it. I call it my NOS button. LOL

NiMH battery from the 2011-2012 models will no longer be stocked after 2022 which may impact longevity of vehicle. It is stated that the battery meets the tough American rules of batteries for hybrids lasting at least 15 years, but it sounds like there is little knowledge on exactly how long they will end up lasting.

Anyway, enjoy!

That's interesting since I was just looking up some info on the lithium battery pack last week.

cr -z air box

i have a 2013 honda cr-z , and i remover the pipe before the air filter box and saw a mileage jump of 2 mpg, the air is still filtered. Not sure if its because of more air or if the air is warmer, hope this helps
