Waxed the truck

Picked up a friend and took the truck to a car wash and washed it. Then we took the truck home and waxed it in the garage. I paid him $20 for helping me. It took 3 hours versus the 6 hours it would have taken me by myself. "Shined up like a diamond in a goats ass" as they say. Time well spent.

I think you can see just how well the tuxedo black Aerolid shined up in this picture.

It looks so good, that if I were a bird, I would take a big white liquid turd on it.

It's that good looking.

Once I left the '59 out for a few weeks before putting it into storage. The local birds (at least one billion of them) had been feasting on berries and using the '59 for target practice. Red and blue splats everywhere. Dayum that was hard to wash off. Almost should have left it- looked like a modern art paint job.

I even waxed the boat tail this morning. Not the high quality paint that is on the vehicle but it does shine more than it did. Washed all the windows inside and out too. Big difference.

Around here the seagulls mistake grey&silver cars for rocks and drop oysters on them trying to break the shells.

Thanks for all the horror stories but I live in the southern NM desert. A bird can cause a problem now and then but that's it.
