What do all of these words mean? :)

Something about capturing carbon in three minutes, so let's attach them to tailpipes, because people sometimes travel four miles in 180 seconds: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abo6849

I only got as far as the abstract. Scalable means it works best with big tailpipes.

I received a notification for a science report, which are often more reporting than actual science--editorializing? I understood the article, but questioned how accurate it was. It linked to this, the original article which I had difficulty understanding.

The easy-to-understand one also mentioned putting these on factories. Those aren't supposed to move, but their exhaust sure does, so I wonder how much it needs to absorb to be considered viable.

It absorbs the carbon and only releases it above a certain temperature. Would they periodically replace it or heat it up somewhere more convenient to capture carbon?

If it is the latter it just sounds like extra steps.

Seems like they got so far, but had been constrained by the need to quantify certain aspect of the process, and succeeded in coming up with a novel way to capture this needed test data, which also happened to agree with the supercomputer mathematical model of the chemistry involved, at the most fundamental scale.
All of which gets us closer to industry-scale carbon capture and sequestration.
A very good thing!:)
